Lesson 4: And Now We're Saying Bye, Bye, Bye

Audrey Hepburn said, "for beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

what a terribly beautiful thing.

I've been doing a little bit of research and I have come to the conclusion that I am not religious, but I am spiritual. I believe in karma and the balance of good and bad through energies. I know some people may think of that as a child's dream, but it's my belief. I believe that my happiness is affected by my energy. And my energy is affected by thoughts and by the people I surround myself with. If I think negatively, I will attract the negative. If I surround myself with positive things to build myself up and others as well, my energy and the occurrences within my life will reflect that.

And so, in an attempt to drain my life of the negative, I admit that there are people I need to let go of. I'm losing friends that need losing, and it's no easy task. I attach myself. I am an octopus with endless tentacles, forever reaching out towards the things that I am attracted to. I reach for the pretty things, I reach for the scary things, I reach for the things I do not know, I reach with ease and my range stretches far. And now I'm choosing to be selective with what I stretch toward.

As of now, I do solemnly swear to look for the good in others or to not look at all, to speak only words of kindness or nothing at all, and I promise to walk with said knowledge and to walk with the image I wish to see of myself pouring outwards.

The lesson is, you build your world according to what you wish and how you act. For every mean or spiteful thing you say or do, prepare for that to reflect upon your life. And for every good thing that you are accountable for, the like will turn up in your life. This is the closest thing to magic and religion that I believe in. Frame your life with positive things and you will be happier.
